High End A. Lange & Söhne – Little Lange 1 Moon Phase Eta Movement Replica Watches

This new version of the brand’s classique is now 1.7 millimetres smaller. The polished pink-gold case contrasts elegantly with the exquisitely guilloché, argenté-coloured gold dial. Featuring two golden moons, the lunar disc of this model is also argenté-coloured. The astronomical complication emulates the synodic orbit of the earth’s companion so accurately that it only needs to be corrected by one day every 122.6 years. Shiny pink-gold hands and appliques accentuate the asymmetric dial with its precisely jumping outsize date display. The delicately gradated colour concept is immaculately complemented with a white alligator leather strap that is secured with a pink-gold pin buckle.

Some Lange watches set me in real pain, I want them so much. If someone has copyrighted that previously, have his lawyer contact mine. Weirdly, the heavyweight horological muscle-flexer A. Lange & Söhne Tourbograph Perpetual ‘Pour Le Mérite’ is not such a Lange, and I’ve even managed to finally figure out why. Why? Just because it is a heavy weight horological muscle-flexer of a watch, a watch that’s so overdone, its doping has allowed but a couple of small sections in the Lange DNA to survive such abusive treatment. In fact, we’ve seen the mix of a round instance, perpetual calendar and moon period in sub-dials, and a chronograph many times before. Many, many times, because that is how genuinely spoiled we are. The Tourbograph even reveals some skin (lovely skin, in fact) at 6 o’clock to let you understand not just with its own font selection and ever-so-slightly unique lugs that it’s a Lange.I fully understand the value and the awe-inspiring goodness in the bespoke, not-copied-from-anyone-else engineering that’s under the hood of the Tourbograph Perpetual, but we are not talking about an uncased motion here, but a complete watch. On this note, anyone who does not tingle in the sight of this movement should seek medical care, quick! To have a more positive approach to what unquestionably is a watchmaking masterpiece, then we must check at the myriads of nice details the Tourbograph offers.

The technical features of the new manually wound L121.2 include the characteristic twin mainspring barrel with a power reserve of 72 hours. The large cam-poised balance paired with a hair-spring crafted in-house oscillates beneath the hand-engraved balance cock. The lavishly hand-finished movement of this timepiece is a true gem that can be admired through the sapphire-crystal caseback.

On the front of the watch is a regulator-style dial with moments in the large circle and hours and moments from the two smaller circles. The day, date, and month have been shown in apertures. Marshall Pierce & Company are proud, licensed merchants of A. Lange & Sohne timepieces at Chicago. These watches feature a few of their most innovative movements, and luxury configurations of any watchmaker in the world. Marshall Pierce & Company is pleased to carry a timepiece that holds true to the high standards over time.
The rattrapante chronograph also gives us the perfect reason to turn the A. Lange & Söhne Tourbograph Perpetual ‘Pour Le Mérite’ around and have a better look at its caseback. It is one metropolis of a movement, truly enjoy a small-scale city of plates and gears. A complicated Lange, and notably a chronograph, will forever be one of the most splendid-looking calibers in all of watchmaking history. As we have seen together with the Lange Double Split, there is not just one, but 2 pillar wheels in the movement. As you can see on the picture above, this column wheel is directly connected to the 2 arms that control the dividing (or rattrapante) function: a few extremely finicky geometrics come to play to prevent and let go of the wheel linked to one of both central chronograph seconds palms. The other column across the motion (the one to the left to the image below) serves as a normal chronograph function’s column wheel, accountable for stopping and starting the chronograph itself. There are easy moves that amaze with their finishing and there are not-so-amazingly finished complex movements that amaze with their overpowering layout. The Tourbograph merges both and produces a watch that is a sensual overload with a window onto a world where stunning surface decorations and treatments match with some of the challenging geometrics and interactions of components.
